As Technical Sales Support, you will be part of our Global Customer Support division, working with upgrades of existing customer products. You will have a close and effective collaboration with aftermarket sales function and the team of experts in our Hydrodynamic Research Center to create the best upgrading proposals and designs. You communicate this solution to the customer and motivate how we can translate their needs into the most efficient product upgrade, for example to reduce their fuel consumption. In this role, you will work with all products in our range, consisting of propeller, waterjet, POD and rudder, and customize the solution based on the specific vessel’s needs.

You are the one who is driving and creating the hydrodynamic design in our in-house developed software PropCalc, which is our tool used for sales, design and engineering of ship propulsion equipment. Through simulation and testing in our own laboratory, we have a unique opportunity to deliver high-end products with the right effect, power and quality. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding how our propulsion systems integrate and works in different vessels and applications. Through this experience and expertise, you will contribute to product development, research and business intelligence to understand our customers' future needs.

An exciting opportunity has arisen since we are looking for an EtO (Engineering to Order) Design Engineer to join our Waterjet systems business unit. In this role you will be part of a dynamic Waterjet team that works together to sell, design, manufacture and deliver waterjets of world class performance. At the signing of an order, the order is transferred to the Project department, where the EtO Engineer is responsible for the technical design of the delivery and together with the responsible Contract Manager manages the delivery and contract obligations until end of warranty.
This position also includes a technical supporting role in pre-sales activities - drawing proposals of shaft-lines and hydraulic systems for example, which also includes dimensional calculations. The EtO Engineer role is responsible for all technical configurations regarding the customer project. This includes design and calculations of tailormade shaft-lines, including support bearings and suitable couplings, manufacturing drawings, project drawings for hydraulic systems etc.

Qualifications and experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Structural Analysis Engineer at Kongsberg Maritime in Kristinehamn. We are looking for a talented engineer to join our product management team for propellers and shaftline Systems. In this role, you will provide high-quality analyses to support the team and the business in order projects, development projects, and failure investigations.
You will be part of our Product Management Propeller department, which develops and delivers market-leading, world-class propulsion solutions. Our product portfolio consists of propellers and shaftlines for all types of vessels—from aircraft carriers to smaller luxury yachts—spanning both commercial and naval segments. For over 80 years, our high-performance propellers, beginning with the renowned KAMEWA-propeller, have been developed and produced in Kristinehamn.
As a Structural Analysis Engineer, your responsibilities will primarily focus on calculations and structural analysis for propeller shaftline systems. These calculations must meet internal requirements as well as the rules set by Classification Societies and other regulatory bodies. You should be able to document your work through detailed technical reports. You will support ongoing projects and contribute to new product development efforts. You will be involved in the entire product process, from sales to end-of-warranty, and participate in method development, root cause investigations, and the enhancement of engineering tools.
In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including designers, project managers, sales teams, and service departments. You will also interact with suppliers, shipyards, and regulatory bodies. Some travel may be required.

The team who develops and maintains the in-house developed software PropCalc needs to expand and is looking for a talented M.Sc. engineer with an interest in algorithm development and programming.

As Methods Developer, the main objectives are focused on the business-critical system PropCalc used for sales, design and engineering of ship propulsion equipment. You will be part of a competent team of experts working with development of our propeller systems. You will be part of our Product Management Propeller & Reduction Gear department, working with development and maintaining market leading world class propulsion solution. Our products consist of propellers, shaft lines and reduction gears for all types of vessels, including polar research, naval and cruise ships. Our propellers vary in sizes from 1,5 – 10 m in diameter and we have delivered our high-performance propellers for over 80 years, starting with the well-renowned KAMEWA-propeller.
Key accountabilities
As Development engineer, you get the chance to further develop and deliver the best propellers in the world. You will be included in all stages of the product development of our complex propulsion systems, from first drawings to the final test run. Your position is characterized by working cross-functionally with colleagues from other departments in our global organization, as well as collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
In this position, you act as a specialist when it comes to complex mechanical issues, but also regarding hydraulic and numerical inquiries. Among other tasks, you will get to work with conceptual studies, detailed constructions, and investigations. Travel is included as part of your position, sometimes with short notice and with destinations almost anywhere in the world – on dry land, in dry dock or onboard a sailing vessel. You should therefore be comfortable with having travel as part of your work.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to shape this position since it’s a new defined role within the team.
As Project Engineer you will have the responsibility to manage the process when there’s a need to modify an already delivered product due to product safety and reliability issues. Your assignments are initiated from our product owners and you will have the opportunity to work with our whole product portfolio, such as propeller and shaft line systems, PODs, waterjets and control systems. In this position you will have interface and act as a link between several departments and stake holders within our company, both locally and globally, and our customers. The modification projects could be of a shorter time horizon up to several years and include a single vessel up to a fleetwide upgrade.

Som Designingenjör ingår du i ett team som arbetar med ELegance POD, vilket är en nylanserad elektrisk propellerprodukt. I arbetet bidrar du till att modernisera och effektivisera fartygspropulsion för att möta framtida krav på miljövänlig sjöfart. Du har därför stora möjligheter att påverka i ny- och vidareutveckling av produkten, i kombination med konstruktörsarbete där du arbetar med orderstyrd design. Då avdelningen är mindre har du ett bredare ansvar, vi uppskattar därför ditt driv i att skapa tillverkningsunderlag i kombination med ditt bidrag i utvecklingsarbetet.
I POD-teamet har vi alltid kunden i fokus och vi strävar tillsammans mot att vara marknadsledande inom framdrift av fartyg genom att leverera en helhetsupplevelse och service som skapar återvändande kunder. Som Designingenjör är därför din kommunikativa förmåga viktig, både i kontakt med kunder och leverantörer, samt i samarbete med olika funktioner i organisationen. Vi uppskattar även din förmåga att ta egna initiativ och har ett driv att utveckla oss som företag, produkten och dig själv som person.
Vi söker dig som har:
Utbildning som minst högskoleingenjör inom maskinteknik eller motsvarande
Erfarenhet av konstruktion i CAD-verktyg, gärna Siemens NX
Goda kunskaper i engelska då vi arbetar mot en internationell marknad

Allt från parametrisering och skapande av matematiskt styrda grundmodeller i NX, till toleranssättning, ritnings och svetsstandarder.
